Damietta Alliance
Ports & Logistics · Egypt
The Port of Damietta is one of the main ports in Egypt, close to the River Nile and with minimal deviation from major shipping routes and the Suez Canal.
Damietta Alliance Container Terminals is a consortium of Hapag-Lloyd AG (Germany, anchor customer), EUROGATE Group (Germany) and Contship Italia (Italy), starting operations of a state-of-the-art container terminal in early 2025.
The terminal handles the latest generation of container vessels: ship-to-shore gantry cranes with 25 rows across deck, deep-water berths at −18m CD, high-stacking yard equipment and efficient IT systems make it a new hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
