Requests, quotes and orders
Where a deal starts, factory quotes, the ways you earn, what the client never sees and where your earnings are.
Where does a deal start? With a request: what the client wants, how many pieces, and where and when it must arrive. A client can send it from the portal, or you type it in. See A new request.
One request per product? Yes. One request keeps the client, the product, the target price and every factory quote together, so nobody works from a stale spreadsheet.
How many factories should I ask for a quote? As many as you like. Each quote is entered on its own page and compared side by side. See Ask factories and Compare and award.
What is the difference between a factory quote and a client quotation? The factory quote is what a factory asks you. The client quotation is what you offer your client, with your margin inside. See Enter factory quotes and Send the quotation.
What are the ways I earn? Three business models: your margin as a markup on the factory price (Trading), a service fee on the client’s order (Commission), or a rebate you invoice to the factory (Rebates). See How you earn.
Can the client see the factory’s price? No. Factory names, factory prices, your target price and your margin are internal; a client sees only its own records.
Can I delete a request? An agent cannot delete requests. Ask a manager when one must go.
When does the client see my quotation? When you send it: it appears on the client’s portal and the client gets an email. See Send the quotation.
Where do I see what I earned? The earnings of every order are on one page. See Earnings.
