Languages and your data
Working in English or Chinese, what is translated and what is not, and getting your data out.
How do I work in Chinese? Open My Settings, set Language to 中文, save and reload the page. See Change your language.
Why does my colleague see English while I see Chinese? The language is per user. Each person picks their own under My Settings; a new user starts in the site’s language.
Are my product names and notes translated? No. What you type — product names, descriptions, notes — is never translated. The interface and the standard print labels follow the language.
In which languages does the portal work? English and Chinese. A buyer sees their own user language if it is set, otherwise your site’s language; there is no switcher on the portal. See How languages work.
Can I print in the other language than my site uses? Yes. Pick it in the print view’s Language box for one print, or set a factory’s or client’s Print Language so every new document to them follows it. See Print in another language.
Who can see our internal fields, such as factory prices and margins? Only your team members with sourcing roles. Clients never see them, on the portal or on any document.
How do I get my data out? Any list view exports to Excel or CSV, and Export all my data on My account gives you everything in one zip file. Your data is yours. See Export, cancel or close your account.
