Welcome to Sourcing Management
What Sourcing Management does for your agency, what is ready on your first day, and how this manual is organised.
What it is
Sourcing Management runs a sourcing agency that buys from factories in China for its clients. Your clients’ requests, your factories and their quotes, the costing with your margin, the orders and a portal where your clients follow everything are in one place, with your brand on what your clients see.
Your site is your own: its own address, its own database and your own users. PHOENIX hosts it, updates it and backs it up every night, so there is nothing to install.
Why it matters
Most agencies run on spreadsheets and chat. A price gets lost in a message, two people quote the same client differently, and nobody sees the margin until the order is paid. Here every deal starts from one request, and every factory quote, costing sheet, quotation and order links back to it, so anyone on your team can open one page and see the whole deal.
How this manual is organised
| Part | What you find there |
|---|---|
| 2. Getting started | Your first day: sign in, your brand, how you earn, your team, your own data |
| 3. The sourcing workflow | Every step of a deal, from the client’s request to your earnings |
| 5. Client portal | What your clients see and do |
| 7. Languages | Working in English and Chinese |
| 13. FAQ | Short answers to common questions |
| 14. Troubleshooting | What to do when something does not work |
| 15. Reference | Every field on the main screens |
Each page has the same sections: what it is, why it matters, the steps, common mistakes and tips. A badge marks anything that is not available yet.
