Remove the sample data

What it is

Your site starts with sample factories, clients, products and client requests, so you can try every step of a deal before you enter anything real. Remove sample data in Sourcing Settings deletes them all at once.

Why it matters

Practice records mixed with real ones confuse your team and appear in your lists and reports. Removing them leaves a clean site with only your own data.

Steps

1. In Sourcing, open Settings in the sidebar.
2. Select Remove sample data at the top of the page. The button shows only while your site still has sample data.
3. Read the question and select Yes.
4. A message says how many sample records were removed. If some stay, the message says so: they are used by your own documents, for example a real order made for a sample client.

Common mistakes

• Removing the sample data before trying a deal. It cannot be loaded again.
• Making real orders for a sample client or factory. Those sample records stay; use your own records for real work.

Tips

• Only a System Manager or a Sourcing Manager can remove the sample data.
